Description

The Border Community Alliance invites you to join in celebrating the end of the winter season and the beginning of the summer as we anticipate the arrival of college and university students for our internship program. During these past nine months we have greatly expanded our programming with diverse and fascinating tours to Mexico. We have successfully launched a binational youth program, the Border Youth Tennis Exchange. We have engaged more than 200 people in conversation about the borderlands in the forums and classes we have offered. And now we look forward to students from around the US and overseas coming to our community for an intense summer of engagement around border issues.

To celebrate these accomplishments and to raise funds for the internship program, we invite you to join us in what promises to be a very memorable evening. The home of Joanna Corrigan is built in classical Spanish Colonial style, with courtyard and veranda leading into a richly unified and beautifully decorated interior. The food will match the architecture, with Chef Fernando joining us from La Llorona Resturant, Nogales Sonora. A diverse platter of tapas will be served with a delightful variety of wines as well as non-alcoholic drinks. Beautiful music and conversation will fill the air. We will have short presentations about BCA but otherwise dedicate the evening to the spirit of celebration. Door prizes and a silent auction will add to the fun.

Doors open at 4:00 PM. Space is limited to the first 50 people, so register online today!
