Description

Workshop participants will participate in in making corn, flour and wheat tortillas from scratch, from mixing the dough, to shaping and cooking. Attendees should dress comfortably and be prepared to stand for brief periods. Along with learning how to make tortillas, workshop will include information on the history of tortillas in Mexico, such as regional preferences, sizes and uses. Learn for yourself the cornerstone for Mexican cuisine: tortillas!

The instructor for this unique class is Minerva Orduno Rincon, professional chef, former food writer for the Phoenix New Times, and author of www.cucumbersandlimes.com cooking blog.
